Masses at St James – Updated 23/24 Oct

Dear Parishioners and friends of St James,

We welcome our first weekend out of Lockdown.  While some restrictions remain, it is with a deep sigh of relief that we can now look forward to reuniting with loved ones and regaining some sense of normality in the weeks and months ahead. Here at St James, we will be moving towards a gradual return to worship over the coming weeks.

Weekend Masses

In line with government requirements, weekend Masses will resume at St James the Apostle Parish, beginning the weekend of 06/07 November for fully vaccinated people.  Proof of vaccination must be shown to the COVID Marshall(s) upon arrival.  Parishioners should update “Services VIC App”.  If you don’t have a smart phone, please obtain a hardcopy certificate.  To assist you in this, please visit this SITE.

At this stage, we require you to book your place to attend Sunday Mass using the TryBooking facilities. Please visit https://trybooking.com/BJPOT to book. Mass times on the weekend are Saturday 5:00pm and 6:30pm, Sunday 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am and 5:00pm. Bookings will open on Tuesdays before the weekend. Parishioners are asked to be considerate of others who missed out on a booking. If you were able to attend Mass the previous weekend, please wait until Thursday to book for the following week. QR registration upon arrival is still required.  Our mass capacity for St James is 130 people due to the Density Quotient.  If you need assistance with booking, please call the Parish Office on 9401 6367 and leave a message.  A member of staff will return your call during Office Hours (Mon-Fri, 9:30am-2:30pm) to assist you. Masks are required at all Masses.

Covid Marshalls will be onsite at Masses to assist you. As we learn this system together, please ensure you treat our Covid Marshalls with respect and courtesy.

Weekday Mass Times

For Mon 25 Oct-Sat 30 Oct, bookings for the daily 9am Mass can be made through the Parish Office.  First 15 people per day.  QR Code required upon arrival and must be fully vaccinated.  Please provide proof of vaccination. Masks are required at all Mases. Updated weekend Mass attendance procedure will be provided next weekend.

Census Contact Updates: During June we will be renewing the details of all members in our Parish. In today’s world it’s very important for a Parish to keep updated details of all members of the Parish, as details may have changed. We notice that we have very few email addresses and mobile numbers, and often these come in handy to communicate with you. It is very important that every household in the Parish fills in a new Census Form, unless you have just filled in one in 2021. Thank you for your cooperation.
