Dear St James Parishioners

On behalf of the MSSP Lay we ask you to consider the letter, received from Fr Mario Zammit mssp in the Philippines, located HERE. If you’d like to be included in the email list, please forward your email address to [email protected]

On the World Day of Prayer for Vocations Sun 08 May, we remember to pray for vocations to the Priesthood and Consecrated Life.  May we pray especially for the Paulist Missionaries as they remember May 08 as the day Joseph De Piro accepted his call to become a priest.  Let us pray for and encourage more vocations to the Priesthood and Consecrated Life.

Thanking you in anticipation

Tess Mijares

Departed MSSP

Last Friday, Fr Jude and Fr Silvio offered Mass for our departed MSSP brothers, lay missionaries, family, friends and benefactors.  This is one way that we acknowledge God’s ways of journeying with us along the years and our communion with those who came before us and supported our missions.  We encourage you to join us in prayers to include our missionaries and the many lay people who supported the mssp charism throughout the years.

This Wednesday 30 June, the Paulist Missionaries celebrate their Foundation Day.  Let us continue to pray and journey with the Paulist Missionaries around the world as they spread the Good News.

Father, you call us to become your children, and to spread in the world the fragrance of your love.

We pray particularly for all Paulist Missionaries, whom you have called to follow you and spread the Good News in the world in the footsteps of St Paul.

May they become more like your Son, as their hearts are inflamed with the fire of your love.  Fill them with your pastoral love to respond with great generosity to those who are at the periphery; imbue them with courage to trust in your providence; and give them hope even when everything seems lost.

We ask this through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Assumed into Heaven, and the Servant of God Joseph De Piro, who inspires them and guides them.
