Altar Servers for Christmas

If you are in Yr 4 or above and have completed your First Eucharist, you can be an Altar Server at St James. If you would like to join or find out more about this ministry, you are invited to attend the next Training Session on Sat 26 Nov at 10:30am in the church with a parent. Please Register by contacting Russell on 0406 867 175 by Wed 23 Nov.

For all current Altar Servers, your next Training/Meeting is on Sat 26 Nov at 1pm. All Servers are encouraged to attend to revisit their training especially as we approach the Christmas season. Please attend with a parent.

The Altar Server Ministry is once more offering a session to train new Altar Servers to join this ministry.

If you have completed your First Eucharist and would like to be trained and/or find out more information, come to the next Training Session on Sat 18 Jun at 10:30am in the church. At least one parent must also attend.

Altar Servers at St James

Now that we are back celebrating the Eucharist in the Church, we invite all Altar Servers at Mass to offer their services and make themselves available to serve at the Mass you are at.  Maximum of 4 servers per Mass.

There will be a meeting for all Altar Servers and for those who would like to join this ministry (must be Yr 4 or above and have completed their First Eucharist) on Sat 22 Jan at 10:00am in the Church.

Due to the current Lockdown and the uncertainty of the possibility of gatherings, the meeting for those interested in joining the Altar Server Ministry scheduled for this Sat 04 Sept, has been postponed to a date to be determined once Lockdown finishes.

We invite all Altar Servers to please make themselves available at the Masses they will be attending.

A meeting is set in place for all interested in joining this ministry on Sat 31 July at 10:30am.  This will be an Information/Training Session.  Parents/Guardians are welcome to join us. All in Year 4 and above invited.

As we move towards larger gatherings for Mass with our overflow space in the Paulist Centre, we are once more able to restart our ministry of Altar Serving.

If you were an Altar Server at St James
pre-COVID
, and if you feel confident enough, please offer your services to the priest at any Mass that you attend. Maximum of 2 servers at any Mass at this time.

If your contact details have changed, please email your current details to the Parish Office at hopperscrossingnorth@cam.org.au.

For those who were not Altar Servers pre-COVID and would like to now join this ministry, an Altar Server Information Meeting/Training for them and their parents/guardians has been organised on Sat 31 July at 10:30am-11:30am. All in Year 4 and above invited.
