On Sun 08 Oct, the Young Paulists, our Young Adults Group, celebrated 10 years of service to our community and beyond. They gathered those who had served as Young Paulists Core Team members over the past decade to reflect on the journey and where they are today. One of them reflects:

“… we were called to serve, we led mission trips and parish events that have bonded us together and shaped us as young adults… the experience has led me to find gifts I can share with my community and to make my career change to becoming a teacher. These experiences are not lost among the team in our want to share our gifts and talents. In giving, we found something more fulfilling, which has been the rope that pulls us back into service even through our different walks of life.”

Young Paulists – Reflections on the Mount – Sat 11 Nov

On Sat 11 Nov, the Young Paulists invite young adults (aged between 18-35) to attend our “Reflections on the Mount” event, where we will hike, self reflect and share our connections to scripture from the Sermon on the Mount. Please BYO lunch and a snack to share (no nuts).

Meet us at St James by 9am to carpool to the You Yangs, returning by approx. 3pm. Please RSVP by Thurs 09 Nov by texting Johan on 0450 723 288. Hope to see you there!

YP’s Present – Family Movie Night

The Young Paulists (YPs) is the Parish’s Young Adults Group who organise events for different groups throughout the Parish community. The YP’s will be hosting a Family Movie Night on the last day of school term on Fri 15 Sept, 7pm-9:30pm in the Paulist Centre (next to the church). The movie will be The Super Mario Bros. Tickets are only $5 per person.

Bookings can be made in person or via Trybooking between until Thurs 14 Sept. However, all payments must be done in person after masses or at the Parish Office.

Popcorn, ice cream, fairy floss, and drinks will be provided. Chairs are available on the night but feel free to bring your own bean bags, pillows, blankets, etc.

Dress code (optional): Favourite video game character! Prizes will be given out for the best dressed – child, adult, and family!

*All people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

BINGO Afternoon Fundraiser

The YP’s invites you to an afternoon of fun, games, and of course Bingo, this weekend on Sun 27 Aug 1pm-4pm in the Paulist Centre. $10 per Bingo Book to play for the afternoon! Tea and coffee provided, BYO snacks (open to all parishioners of all ages, but bingo participants must be 18+). Register via hopperscrossingnorth.paulists@cam.org.au!

Family Movie Night

The Young Paulists (YPs) is the Parish’s Young Adults Group who organise events for different groups throughout the Parish community. The YPs will be hosting this event for families to attend on the last day of school term on Fri 15 Sept, 7pm-9:30pm in the Paulist Centre (next to the church). The Young Paulists invite you to our annual Family Movie Night featuring The Super Mario Bros Movie. Tickets are only $5 per person.

Monthly Faith Sharing Evening—The YPs invite young adults (aged 18-35) to gather for our Monthly Faith Sharing Evening on Wed 16 Aug at 7pm. Starting with dinner in the Parish Office Foyer, socialise with other young adults open to exploring what our faith journey holds. RSVP for catering purposes to Russell 0406 867 175 by Mon 14 Aug.
