First Reconciliation Program – Other Schools

The 1st Reconciliation Program for Children from Other Schools has started this weekend.

Thank you to Maribel Maniquiz for coordinating and communicating with all the families to ensure that everyone received the information they needed to register their children, especially with the sudden changes posed by the Lockdown.

Thank you to Karen Serrano, lead Catechist for the program, for putting together the Lesson Plan and running the sessions with the help of Maribel.

Thank you to Geralyn McCarthy for running the Parent Session before Lockdown began. The first session has been conducted online with subsequent sessions as to be subject to restriction levels.

We thank Wendy Gonsalves for her dedicated service as the Sacramental Program Coordinator for children from other schools, as she steps down from the role of Coordinator. Your service and passion in this role will be missed.

We are seeking a volunteer who will be able to step into the role of Coordinator for this invaluable ministry. It will involve liaising with families, Fr Jude, the Catechists and the Parish Office to offer the children from our Parish who do not attend our Catholic schools the opportunity to have classes to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. The Coordinator does not necessarily teach the formation classes, but will instead be involved in coordinating the Catechists (who teach the program) and the families who attend it.

If you would like more information, please contact the Parish Office on 9401 6367.
