The YP’s May Event; Philosophical Theology and Science and Religion was hosted on Wed 15 May. Here is what some thought of the event:
I’m so grateful to have been part of the Formation Night . My understanding of our faith was enriched (for example, never before had I heard Purgatory explained so beautifully) but more than that I was encouraged and uplifted by the people: questioning, searching, sharing. It confirmed in my mind that there is a sort of instinct in us, constantly moving us to come home to the One who made us. St. Augustine was absolutely right when he said: ‘You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.’

Dear YP team,
Thank you all for a very welcome and enlightening session. Fr Paul and Fr Mario were both brilliant and I felt we were very privileged to have these two outstanding, knowledgeable and progressive thinkers on the panel. I want to acknowledge and thank the YPs for organizing and hosting last night, and St Francis Primary for the venue. A lot of thought and preparation clearly went into the event.
It was an added bonus, but not a surprise, to see so many of you there. Your commitment and zeal for promoting and sharing our Faith, in so many ways, is a credit to you and a gift to our parish family. I hope your hunger and pursuit for further knowledge will never fade; it is certainly rewarding to feed this curiosity as passionately and as constantly as possible. I look forward to the next event with enthusiasm.
Thank you also for the many events you organize during the year. What you do in service to the greater community is truly Gospel in action. I am proud to be part of St James community for many reasons, not the least of which is for the future we have in our young leaders like yourselves. May God always be the source of inspiration to all of you.
Judy
