Easter Vigil (Saturday 11 April)

The Easter Vigil liturgy is the most beautiful liturgy in the Roman Catholic Church. It normally takes place after sundown on the night before Easter (Holy Saturday) and celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
On the evening of Sunday March 29, prior to the introduction of Stage 3 restrictions, priests of St Peter’s (Hoppers Crossing), St Andrew’s (Werribee) and St James (Hoppers Crossing North) united in prayer to pre-record the Easter Vigil at the Thomas Carr College chapel so that you can celebrate this mass in your homes with your families.
We invite you to share in the Easter Vigil

Good Friday (Friday 10 April)

Good Friday is such a powerful day; we venerate the sign which is central to our faith – the cross, because on it the sinless one experienced the fullest emptying of himself, the fullest sharing in what it is to be human, to enter the darkness of death.
On Sunday March 29, prior to the introduction of Stage 3 restrictions, priests of St Peter’s (Hoppers Crossing), St Andrew’s (Werribee) and St James (Hoppers Crossing North) united in prayer to pre-record the Good Friday liturgy at the Thomas Carr College chapel so that you can celebrate this service in your homes with your families.
We invite you to share in the Solemn Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord.

Good Friday Stations of the Cross prepared by the Youth (Friday, 10 April):

As we journey towards Easter, join us as we reflect and pray through the eyes of Jesus the Stations of the Cross. Walk with Jesus as he moves towards the greatest and most profound sacrifice; a sacrifice that paves the way for the hope at Easter.
Members of the Parish’s High School aged Youth Group; St James Youth, have filmed the Stations within their individual households, to create this reflection, giving witness that while we cannot gather physically, we can still serve one another and journey together as a community.

Holy Thursday (Thursday 9 April):

Holy Thursday is the anniversary of the Lord’s Supper when Jesus ate the Passover meal with His apostles. It was then that He instituted the Eucharist.
On Friday March 27, prior to the introduction of Stage 3 restrictions, priests of St Peter’s (Hoppers Crossing), St Andrew’s (Werribee) and St James (Hoppers Crossing North) united in prayer to pre-record the Holy Thursday Mass at the Thomas Carr College chapel so that you can celebrate this mass in your homes with your families.
