Prayers of the Faithful – 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Introduction:
In today’s readings we celebrate the great love of God, who not only give us life, but desires to sustain and nourish us generously too.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage, perhaps its timely to ask ourselves whether we’re responding with the generosity of Christ in our dealings with family, friends and in the community.

Prayers of the Faithful:

Celebrant: Dear friends, no trial or power can deprive us of the love of God made visible in Christ Jesus. With renewed faith in God’s goodness let us pray for all our needs.

Commentator: For the world-wide church, that it will feed the human hunger for love, truth and mercy as abundantly as Jesus.
