On 13th November we had our last Young Paulist event for this year: a Q&A session regarding on faith, religion and science. Thank you to all the parishioners, and the young adults from St Peter’s parish who joined us. A special thank you to our panelists Geralyn McCarthy, Fr Mario, & Fr Jude for leading the session and for their gracious support in helping to tackle these difficult questions.

The session gave us a deep understanding on how the bible came about and about various other aspects of theology. Moreover, it also emphasised the various approaches to reading the bible. Although we were not able to cover all the questions, as planned, after seeing the people’s involvement and enthusiasm we would definitely be holding similar evenings in the upcoming year. Hopefully we will get to see more new faces. Finally, may the peace of our Lord rest on each one of you and may he guide our paths and lead us always. Amen. Thank you.

On Friday 13th September, the Young Paulists (YP) held our annual Movie Night featuring the film Coco, with 4 variants of Choc Tops, popcorn, lollies and drinks.

I felt a great sense of joy to see families, students from partner schools and members from St Peters’ Young Adults fill up the 80+ seats in the Paulist Centre for a great movie. I particularly loved the excitement and huge grins the kids had when they claimed their prizes for best dressed, one shouting “who? Me!?”.

Thanks to everyone who attended and supported, especially Anthony for how well this event was organised and prepared. We are truly blessed to have such a cohesive team. From St James to Manila, Philippines – We look forward to continuing to serve the various needs of our global community through our events!
